Meriana was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, but moved to England in 2013. She has been passionate about fashion and photography since she was a child, and later in her adult life discovered her love for marketing.

During her first years in Portsmouth she faced some challenging situations, like many immigrants, she had limited English but managed to get a job as a childminder and also in customer service. This new beginning made her grow and helped her develop her language skills, at the same time she began working on her Instagram page as she needed a window to share her creative side, this is how streetsugar was born.

This also led her to train in all areas so as to incorporate them in all aspects of her creative processes and to help others. 

She is a digital content creator in the lifestyle and fashion industry, and she is the creative mind behind @streetsugar. Certificated as a Fashion Stylist at Central Saint Martins & Image Consultant with Project Glam. After graduating with distinction with a master's degree in digital marketing from the University of Portsmouth, she is now ready to embark on her next adventure, helping people and brands capture their best angle, their essence and picturing their personality the best possible way.

She has more than 7 years of experience working for individuals, brands and companies from  Venezuela, Spain, England and the United States.

Meriana has worked in public relations agencies, running social media accounts for local businesses, in marketing departments and worked as a freelancer on small and large projects, collaborating with like-minded brands that fit her ethics including: Coach, Jo Malone, Uber Eats, Gunwharf Quays, Dune London, Dermalogica, Tk Maxx among others.

Her goal is to help people and brands get their best angle.

Meriana nació en Caracas, Venezuela. Desde niña ha sido una apasionada de la moda y la fotografía. Estudió comunicaciones corporativas y relaciones públicas, estudios que le permitieron entender cómo comunicarse con el mercado. En el 2013 se mudó a Inglaterra, un país que la cautivó, pero no desde el inicio. Durante sus primeros años en Portsmouth vivió experiencias retadoras como para cualquier inmigrante, con un Inglés intermedio trabajó como niñera y también, en atención al cliente. Este nuevo comienzo la hizo crecer. Mientras iba mejorando su inglés, empezó a trabajar su Instagram para poder desarrollar su lado creativo. De este modo es como surge @streetsugar

A su vez, su curiosidad y necesidad de comprender la industria la llevó a formarse en diferentes ámbitos para incorporarlos en todos los aspectos de sus procesos creativos y poder así contar con las herramientas necesarias para ayudar a sus clientes.

Es creadora de contenido digital en la industria de la moda y el estilo de vida. Certificada como estilista de moda en Central Saint Martins y  Consultora de Imagen en Project Glam. Después de graduarse con distinción de la Maestría en Marketing Digital de la Universidad de Portsmouth, ahora está lista para embarcarse en su próxima aventura, ayudando a personas y marcas a capturar su mejor ángulo, su esencia y proyectar su personalidad de la mejor manera posible.

Tiene más de siete años de experiencia trabajando para particulares, marcas y empresas en Venezuela, España, Inglaterra y Estados Unidos. Meriana ha trabajado en agencias de relaciones públicas, administrando cuentas de redes sociales para empresas locales, en departamentos de marketing y trabaja como autónoma en proyectos pequeños y grandes, colaborando con marcas afines que se ajustan a su ética, como Coach, Jo Malone, Uber Eats, Gunwharf Quays, Fiorelli, Dermalogica, Tk Maxx, entre otros. 

Su objetivo es ayudar a las personas y las marcas a capturar su mejor ángulo.
